Coming Solo?

  • Thinking of coming solo?  About 70% of women book to come solo but are never solo for long once here!
  • We understand that it can be nerve-wracking, so we have a fantastic, friendly crew and many other ways to help you mingle.
  • On the Friday evening, we have some ice-breaking games at our solos social.
  • Group dinners are a big part of OLW, as it's can be much easier to meet new friends in a small group over dinner, than in a crowded bar - and Oban has fantastic seafood, vegan food and budget options.
  • Many love the fact that we split into smaller groups for hikes and workshops, so it's easy to meet people.
  • Our LGBTQ+ women's ceilidh makes it easy to meet people, as ceilidh's give you the option to get up and dancing with lots of people without even having to ask.

ANDREA KENNY

Andrea Kenny, rocking our Sunday night at the end of our cabaret. Andrea Keny is a Singer/songwriter with over 20 years of experience in performing & writing music internationally, both solo and with bands, a household name in Leicester & Brighton for the last 15 years.

She is the former front woman for popular Leicester band The Brandy Thieves. Andrea’s raw blues-tinged vocals and heartfelt folk melodies with lyrics that weave tales of lessons in love & loss.

And with live performances that are guaranteed to be 'an emotional and joyous rollercoaster', this festival favourite is not to be missed. With mainstream UK festivals including Bearded Theory, Boomtown, Acoustic Festival of Britain, Leicester Music Conference and Iconic Leicester festival Simon Says (and many more) under her belt.

Andrea knows how to pull the audience in, make them feel, dance, cry and laugh all in the same breath. Andrea is also a pride professional. We were at a workshop about the evolution of Brighton Pride and Andrea’s name kept coming up on posters over the years.
